Terms of Service

As of: March 2026 · Version 2.0.0

1. Scope

These Terms of Service govern the use of the DRET platform (hereinafter "Platform"), operated by DRET Legal, Switzerland. By using the Platform, you agree to these terms.

2. Description of Services

DRET is an AI-powered platform for free initial legal assessments. The Platform captures your case, creates a structured statement of facts, and provides an initial legal assessment.

3. No Legal Advice

The use of the Platform does not establish a client-attorney relationship and does not constitute legal advice.

All content generated by the Platform — including statements of facts, legal assessments, and recommendations — is produced by artificial intelligence and may be erroneous, incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong.

The results are not suitable for:

  • Submissions to courts or conciliation authorities
  • Legal briefs, lawsuits, or appeals
  • Binding legal decisions
  • Meeting deadlines or statutes of limitations

You are obligated to independently verify all results or have them reviewed by a qualified professional before taking any action based on them.

4. Limitation of Liability

As the Platform is provided free of charge, use is at your own risk. DRET Legal excludes all liability for damages arising from the use of the Platform or the generated content, to the extent permitted by law. This includes in particular:

  • Direct, indirect, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profit or financial disadvantages
  • Damages from erroneous, incomplete, or incorrect AI outputs
  • Missed deadlines or statutes of limitations
  • Disadvantages from not engaging legal representation

Liability exists only in cases of intent or gross negligence.

5. User Responsibility

You bear full responsibility for the use of the Platform's results. The decision whether and how to act based on the initial assessment lies exclusively with you. DRET Legal assumes no responsibility for actions taken based on the generated content.

6. No Preservation of Deadlines

Use of the Platform does not preserve any statutory, contractual, or judicial deadlines. In particular, no limitation periods, forfeiture periods, or appeal deadlines are interrupted or preserved through the use of the Platform. You are solely responsible for meeting deadlines.

7. Availability

The Platform is provided without guarantee of uninterrupted availability. DRET Legal reserves the right to modify, restrict, or discontinue the Platform at any time.

8. Free Use and Data Usage

The initial legal assessment by DRET Legal is provided to you free of charge. In return, you grant us the right to use the case descriptions you enter for quality assurance, development, and evaluation of our internal AI agents.

Should your inputs contain particularly sensitive personal data (pursuant to Art. 5 para. c nDSG, e.g. health data or information about criminal proceedings), such data will not be used for quality assurance, development, or evaluation. It will serve exclusively for providing your assessment and for statutory record-keeping.

The external providers used are not permitted to use your inputs for their own purposes.

9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies exclusively, excluding conflict of law provisions. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.

10. Amendments

DRET Legal reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time. The current version is available on the Platform. Continued use after amendments constitutes acceptance.
